A Colorful Day

I started the day right with a massage and facial. I had a 1 ½ hour massage and a 1 hour facial for $25. Can’t go wrong!! I managed to get to and from the spa by dodging balloons with water and colored powder. I stayed at a restaurant across from the spa until the groups left the street. It really turned out to be the tourists against the Nepali boys. The tourists were really into it. I think the Nepali boys were winning.

I decided because I was so good in the early morning that I would venture out for lunch after I showered and washed my hair.. I was really hungry. I didn’t get three blocks before I ended up with powder and water all over me… forget going out to lunch and ended up at the hotel restaurant, which is not that good. I had to take another shower.

I sat it out for the day on the roof with a bunch of people enjoying the sun (yes, Bev it is now sunny in Nepal. You can come and visit.) and having a large beer. We were waiting to go to Boudhna at the full moon to see all the lights and walk around the Stupa. It was amazing. They had a large tent filled with monks chanting. Again, I was so inspired by the atmosphere and the people.
Tomorrow I get up early for my trip to Pokhara.

Namaste.
