A Great Dinner

It was a beautiful day in Rwanda.  The sun was shining and I have a beautiful view from the Ice Cream Store.  I spent a good amount of the day looking at numbers.  I finally determined that “they are what they are”.  I can not justify the discrepancy.

I had to dye my hair today.  Wouldn’t you know that this would be the day that all the lights were out!!  Good thing I had practice at dyeing my hair in the dark in Nepal.  It was like old times~!!

I had dinner with a group of young Peace Corp volunteers.  They are so nice.  I am like their grandmother, but they treat me just like a fellow volunteer.  It was nice not to eat alone after two weeks.  We went to Chinese and it took 2 hours to get our food.  I definitely was feeling the beer by the time the food arrived.  Everyone loved the food, but it is relative.  In US standards I would never eat at this place.  But in Rwanda, it is delicious.

I leave for hiking in the rainforest for two days.  I will not be doing a blog tomorrow.  Hopefully I will have some great stories when I return.

Have a great weekend.  Paula
