I spent the morning trying to buy a permit for the Gorillas
at the lowest price. I am not sure that
I accomplished my goal because I used every cent of money I had and will have
to rely on ATMs, which are scarce and charge a premium. Sometimes I get so frugal that it ends up
costing me more.
I am set for the Gorilla trek on March 28th. I now have to find how to get to the
beginning of the trek without hiring a car for myself. I am hoping that I will find some nice
tourists that will let me join them.
I spent the rest of the day helping in the shop. It was slow for most of the day, but really
got busy in the evening. Once again, the
only complaint was from a missionary.
What is with Missionaries!!! I
hope I do not offend anyone, but the two that I have met at the shop have both
been complainers. They were very nice
and spent time talking to me, but definitely hard to please.
I have to get used to the pricing at the shop: milk is 200 but hot milk is 500. The cost of fuel is really high so we have to charge extra.

I am getting a little bored in the evenings. I have not met anyone that I can hang around
with. I am trying to not watch all my
movies at once. I don’t know when I will
see the Peace Corp guys to get more movies.
I have a couple more books to read, so I am rotating between the
two. Thanks to the very large glass of
beer each evening, I am starting to sleep better.
Well, not much to tell.
Tomorrow is a busy day with meetings and starting the 2012
reconciliation.
Have a great evening.
Paula
